On Friday we got the chance to shoot OpenRoad’s highly talked about Rocket Bunny FRS. We’ve seen this car in previous shoots locally but when we saw it with our own eyes, it was a whole different perspective. The intricate lines and jaw-dropping fitment really set it apart from other “wide body” builds. When I looked at it closer, there were a plethora of small details that the internet doesn’t really delve into.
The custom plastic fender liners ensure all that debris bellowing from the thick tires don’t mangle the fresh paint and the way the lines of the kit accentuate each body panel was something that a bolt on fender kit just doesn’t give you. SR Autogroup, the installers of the kit, spent countless hours tailoring this kit to the car and it shows.
I noticed paint matched emblems, which really isn’t a big deal normally but it forces your attention to the car and not the tiny details we normally associate the car scene with these days. I was also drawn to how much more space this kit gives you in the width department. A meaty 275 tire was used in the rear and a 295 could easily be used instead without any issues. We know this kit will soon be more common but I don’t think another one locally will be built up to these standards. When we got the call to shoot this car, we were ecstatic and couldn’t wait to feature it. Enough talking, here’s the modification list and some sultry pictures to go with it.
